Fractures (pelvis or femur) and dislocations (hip)
Usually caused by an extreme force or heavy impact.
Treatment
If you suspect a fracture or dislocation you should ask for medical assistance immediately.
Groin strains
Often caused by twisting and turning when running, resulting in the sudden onset of pain in the inner thigh and difficulty walking or running.
Treatment
Rest the injured area and stop playing the sport that led to the problem.
If symptoms persist for more than 48 hours, talk to your GP or a qualified physio.
